Ryan is an ENT Surgeon with fellowship training in Head and Neck, and Thyroid Surgery.
In addition to this, Ryan has expertise in minimally invasive nose and sinus surgery, and the management of sleep apnoea in adults and children.
Ryan was raised in Hobart, studying Medicine at the University of Tasmania, and completed his ENT registrar training in Melbourne including six months at the Royal Children’s Hospital. He gained Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2013.
I discovered a suspicious throat lump and Dr Ryan Dr Freitas’ team helped me to book an appointment quickly.
Ryan is friendly, very kind and knowledgeable: We discussed options and he got me booked in quickly for an urgent tonsillectomy. My recovery from the operation has been smooth and Ryan ‘went the extra mile’ in ensuring my follow up by other specialists, which I required post-op.
